Honda Cbr 250r Delivery Delay

The response for the 2011 honda CBR250R sportsbike has been anything but phenomenal, with a huge clamor for the motorcycle across India, with Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India unable to deliver motorcycles on time due to the massive demand.

But it isn’t just the massive demand for the CBR250R that is delaying deliveries across India. The new reason emerging from the delay that the Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami have led to part shortages for the 2011 Honda CBR250R.

Word from a leading Honda dealer from Delhi confirmed this to Team ICB. The dealer, while reiterating that Honda CBR250R deliveries could be delayed by almost two whole months also said that new booking might be stopped temporarily(Do we smell a Fortuner here?) until the existing backlog of orders are cleared.

While this delay looks inevitable conidering the fact that the CBR250R does indeed feature plenty of Japanese made critical parts, we think that it’s high time that Honda officially comes out with a statement for prospective CBR250R owners, stating the exact reason for the delay in deliveries/status of existing orders even as rumors continue to fly thick and fast.

Styling And Design

Building on a dynamic and sporty form based on the "mass centralization form," the cutting-edge design concept for Honda's full-cowl sport bikes from the VFR1200F and CBR1000RR on down, a simple and clean advanced styling was refined further from the functional viewpoint, producing a distinctive presence. The model also realized the all-around ease of use of the 250cc class, including a comfortable riding position and excellent handling performance.

Hondas New distinctive Y-shaped headlight unit with separate, left/right position lights featuring a wide spread, ensuring high visibility from other motorists.The left/right side air outlets provided on the upper cowl boost the Handling ability of the vehicle body while directing a proper amount of the wind from riding toward the rider.

  Honda CBR 250 R Middle Cowl Design

The middle cowl expresses a simple yet beautiful surface design and brings an aerodynamic feel, while taking on a high-efficiency air management function that aims to achieve both high cooling performance and low Cd value. The under cowl structure leads the wind from riding directly to the engine and the catalyzer in order to boost cooling performance. Its design makes it look integrated with the engine and muffler to highlight the functional beauty of the lower portion of the vehicle body.

 

The Tachometer is placed at the center , Needle sweeps a full turn as ignition is on like in yamaha.

Made of stainless steel and coated in black, the muffler adds a protector coated in matte silver as one more feature to accentuate the side view.
